Why be energy efficient?
Simply by buying energy efficient products and installing certain energy saving measures, the average household could save up to £200 per year on energy bills.
But the global reasons are important too. Increased carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have led to climate change which means more extreme weather in the UK – storms, floods and droughts.
So what can we do about it? In the UK, a quarter of all CO2 emissions come from the energy used at home. By being more energy efficient, consumers can have a direct effect on reducing emissions in the atmosphere.
